Mortgage Modification Mediation Prodedures Update

The Mortgage Modification Mediation (MMM) Program Procedures have been revised and updated. These updates will take effect May 1, 2017. Changes include adding new section III. (E)- Noticing and Service of Ex Parte Motions, which sets out an exception to noticing requirements for ex parte motions that are designated as such in the procedures. Other changes include a cite correction to section IV. Request for Referral to MMM (3)(c)(ii), and an increase in the allowable expenses under section XVI. Responsibilities and Compensation for Debtor's Counsel (B)(1). The attorney for the debtor will now be permitted to charge up to $120.00 in expenses, instead of $100.00. Total expenses should not exceed $500.00.
