Internet Explorer Suggested Settings with CM/ECF

The first setting to check is how often it looks for updated pages from the server.

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Select Tools > Internet Options
3. From the General tab, select Settings... In the middle of the screen, under Temporary Internet Files
4. Check "Every visit to the page", then press OK

Second thing is to remove all temporary files that have been stored to your local computer while in ecf.

1. Select Tools > Internet Options
2. From the General tab, select Delete Files... In the middle of the screen, under Temporary Internet Files
3. Check the box "Delete all offline content", then press OK

Third, change the setting that will automatically remove those temporary files every time you close your browser. This will help maintain optimum performance from your system.

1. Select Tools > Internet Options
2. Select the Advanced tab
3. Scroll down to the Security section and check "Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed", then press ok.
