Government Shutdown Update
The government shutdown officially commenced on October 1, 2013 since Congress did not pass a spending bill. On October 18, 2013, the Judiciary will run out of funds to maintain operations. Each Court unit is required to determine what essential duties will be performed. The United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Nevada will continue operations and remain open during regular business hours for both offices (Las Vegas and Reno) during the government shutdown. An update will be posted if there are any changes to our operation.
Note: The United States Trustee has indicated that all §341 Meetings of Creditors will be conducted as scheduled unless further notified.
