National Archives and Records Administration (NARA)

NARA is home to thousands of Bankruptcy Cases that have been closed and sent to the archives.

Copies of bankruptcy case files from 2002 and earlier may be obtained by contacting The Federal Records Center (FRC) of The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). The Nevada Bankruptcy Court records are stored in the following FRC offices:

You will need the following information prior to contacting the FRC:

• City in which the court is located
• Case file name(s)
• Case file number
• Transfer number (or accession number)
• Agency box number
• NARA location number

Request Methods

You may request personal bankruptcy case file copies from the FRC by mail, fax, e-mail and online. Business bankruptcy case files may be obtained by mail or by ordering online.
