Bankruptcy Court Open During Partial Shutdown
Despite the partial government shutdown that began December 22, 2018, the Federal Judiciary and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Nevada will remain open and will continue normal operations until further notice by using court fee balances and other funds not dependent on a new appropriation. Case Management/Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) also remains in operation for the electronic filing of documents.
As a reminder, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Nevada will be closed on the following dates this holiday season:
- Monday, December 31, 2018
- Tuesday, January 1, 2019
The court has implemented the following administrative order in relation to the Continuing Resolution:
Administrative Order 2018-06: Court Operations During a Lapse in Appropriation or Continuing Resolution
